Beach City Athletics All Star FAQ's

Are there any age or skill requirements?
All athletes must be between the ages of 6 and 18 years old as of May 31,
2008. There are no specific skill requirements. We will teach you everything
you need to know, including tumbling. Beach City Athletics has a team for
everyone!

We missed the Tryouts. Can I (or my daughter) still be on a team?
It's not too late... Our tryouts are more of a skill assessment for team
placement. If you or your daughter was unable to attend tryouts, please call us
at (310) 735-7723 to schedule a private skill assessment during one of our
regular practices.

My child has never been a competitive cheerleader before. Can she still be
an All Star?
Absolutely! We will offer novice to advanced teams for the 2008-09 Season.
Beginners are more than welcome. In fact, we encourage them. Even if you
do not already know how to tumble. All you need is the will to learn and the
determination to achieve.

What Should I Wear?
Athletes should wear a Plain White fitted T-Shirt or Tank, Shorts, & Tennis
Shoes with hair pulled back neatly into a ponytail tied with a ribbon. Please,
no excessively baggy clothing, jeans, or jewelry (including all body piercings).

What Should I Do When I Arrive?
Please check in at the Front Desk. Each athlete must have a Tryout
Registration Form signed by a Parent/Guardian before they will be allowed to
participate. Packets are available online or request one via email to

How Are Teams Formed?
Teams are determined based on the athletes’ age, skill level, experience, and
potential.

Can my child be a part of the All Star Program while participating on
another team/squad?
We support our athletes involvement in other extracurricular activities (i.e
youth/school cheerleading, other sports teams) as long participation does not
conflict with their responsibilities to their commitment to their All Star Team.
Participation must be discussed with our coaching staff to determine any
potential conflicts.

What Am I Paying For?
The Beach City All Stars is an all-inclusive cheer program. Our program fees
include Annual Registration, Travel & Competition, Custom Uniform Package,
Choreography & Music, as well as Monthly Tuition. There are no hidden costs
or “nickel & diming” for parents after you join.
