About Beach City Athletics
| If you want a program that will help you reach your potential, there is no better place than BCA. Having successfully trained hundreds of cheer and dance athletes, BCA has the most experienced staff of any Cheer & Dance staff members, and national champions than any other competitive cheerleading program in the area. |
Mission and Objectives
Beach City Athletics, formerly the JAG Cheer Company, is
home of the Beach City All Stars, LA's top all star
cheerleading and instructional program. From private
instruction to competitive teams, BCA has something for
everyone. Cheerleading is an ideal sport for the
development of fitness. Cheerleading develops physical
strength, speed, flexibility, agility, coordination, grace, and
balance.
The JAG Cheer Company was started by Jamilah "Coach
Jay" Watson in September 2004 after relocating to Los
Angeles from the San Francisco Bay Area competitive
cheer world. Determined to create an environment where
athletes could grow and develop to maximize their
potential, Jamilah began working with children of all ages
teaching cheerleading, tumbling, and dance at the
Josephson Academy of Gymnastics. Finally in the Spring
of 2005, the JAG Cheer Company was born with the first
competitive season beginning with two teams, Junior Prep
and Senior Prep.
Now, with the support of LA's finest athletes, Jamilah has
started Beach City Athletics, a company dedicated to
addressing the specific needs of LA's current and aspiring
cheerleaders.
